      Hello All,

I just want to know that is it the right way in SEO to submit the same blog post as an article on Linkedin or other social sites or article sites.

        Hi Bimal,

I understand that you wish to understand how to use an existing good blog content on LinkedIn. Whether to use it completely as an article on LinkedIn or link to your blog or some content with 'read more' link pointing to the blog.

Linkedin can be a good place to promote relevant content as there are real people using it and that too being a social network, it can help promote the content to the more similar audience on the article itself.

        Advantages

        • Your profile and previous articles get highlighted, increasing the chances that people will read more than just the 1 article. Your own presence and branding gets a boost.
        • There are several opportunities that people who liked your article once, will get to see more of your content later, they can also follow you.
        • Your reach to potential targets is increased.

        Possible Disadvantages

        • The articles will face competition from other content, and they might get lost if not backed by LinkedIn marketing strategy for these articles.
        • Your readership might remain on LinkedIn and if you don’t incentivize them to visit your website.

        DUPLICATE CONTENT OR NOT:
I have done my research and there are many articles which are published both on websites and LinkedIn without getting penalized. Preferably linking them via a permalink is a good solution for Google to realize that the content is coming from same person/ website/ company/brand.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have further queries.

        Regards,

        Vijay

Hi Birmal, thanks for your question! To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. Did you see the responses from Pau and Nicholas? We'd love to get some clarification about what you are asking so we can help, thanks!

Posting on Linkedin won't directly affect your SEO or rankings. However, if you have a relevant blog post it is a good idea to share it with relevent hashtags to generate more referral traffic to your website.

Hi, just add a short description with the link, and include hashtags of the topic. ¿Is this what you were asking?

Does a site with only one blog post a month rank alright?

I manage multiple websites and want to start new ones but want to know if one blog post a month is acceptable for SEO since I'm worried about rank.

Anyone know the benefits of sharing articles blogs posts on stumble upon?

Hi ALL, Just wondering if it is worth setting up a stumble upon account and sharing our articles or blog posts? I noticed a few companies in my industry who write alot of blog posts who share their articles to stumble upon.  Anyone have any insight into the benefits of doing this for SEO? Cheers

YouTube transcript being used for junk blog?

Should I be concerned about youtube transcripts with our brand name being used to populate junk blogs?  I just noticed this with freshweb this morning: http://www.sharehomevalue.com/blogs/11567.  There are about 4 pages of results like this... mostly Korean websites.

                Guest blogging & duplicate content

This feels like a question I should know the answer to and I'm a tad embarrassed to ask, but the part of my brain that gets tripped up by somewhat simple things sometimes, is begging to ask just to confirm my understanding. I want to make sure I have it right it prior to giving advice. When one guest blogs I assume that it is critical to create content that is original and unique to that one instance of the guest blog. That means, do not also put that post on your own blog and do not submit it to any other blogs for inclusion. This is both for duplicate content issues and also to respect and not put in jeopardy for duplicated content, the blog owner you are guesting for. Is this correct? Are there any scenarios in which there might be a deviation of this "rule"? Like some use of canonicals or anything else?

Commentluv enabled blogs for inbound links?

Question 1: What is the general consensus on gaining links through blog comments on blogs with CommentLuv enabled? Backstory: I was studying our competitor's links and tripped upon something I haven't seen before. There were a number of blog comments created in 2011 by an individual who was probably an SEO hired at least partially for the purpose of making blog comments to gain inbound links for the competitor. I haven't dug deeply enough to find if there are any more recent than 2011. The interesting part was the name/link of the company for this individual which was not the company's actual name but a URL crafted from a main keyword. It  obviously has a redirect to the actual competitor's website which is where the link took me AND a link to this individual's "most recent blog post". This blog post on the company site was written by someone else entirely. Question 2: Clearly some manipulation to build links- would these links be considered unnatural? Question 3: Would it be smart for me to find blogs with CommentLuv to gain links to my blog?

Should I put my "brand" in every one of my posts / pages?

I've heard different thoughts on this and wanted to see what you the seomoz group thought. I have been leaving my "brand" out of my titles so I could create longer titles (without my "brand" taking up precious space.) I've also read that adding your brand can take away from the words you want to optimize for in the title / post. I've read other places that you want your brand in every page title to "strengthen" your brand. Long story short, I'm trying to figure out if I should add my brand to the my page / post titiles, or leave them as is. Feel free to check out my site and current title template if you'd like. Thanks!

Need to create more profile pages for my brand, any suggestions for strong sites that will rank high? Done the obvious ones like Twitter, FB and Linkedin

I am looking for sites that will rank high in SERP's for my brand name, any suggestion would be great.  I am not looking for links from these sites.

                How to promote an article

Hi i run a lifestyle magazine and we have articles that we need to promtoe straight away before they go out of date. I am looking at ways where i can promote an article to attract visitors to the site to read the article. For example http://www.in2town.co.uk/news/trip-advisor/holiday-makers-have-nothing-to-worry-about-says-thomas-cook-boss We write articles and want to find a way where we can promote the articles where we could place a paragraph or two and then put at the bottom of that read the rest of the article here. Can anyone please suggest how we can do this to attract traffic to our site and then hence this traffic would then keep coming back to the site to read more news and articles.
